GUITARS/BASSES
Mid 70’s Fender Musicmaster Bass. Short scale. Curtis Novak pickup. It’s fun!
12-string Stratocaster made in Japan in the 80's. Very brilliant tone. Wide neck and low action makes this easier to play than most other 12-strings.
Built in 1974. This was a reissue of the 1954 Les Paul. There is a bit of a cult surrounding these guitars. Equipped with stock Gibson P-90 pickups. After market Bigsby installed. Available upon request.
9-string from the Fucking Champs. Made at Subway Guitars by the luthier Ron Sargent. Short scale neck. Very light weight. Gibson humbucker in the neck position and lipstick tube pickup in the bridge.
1974 Rickenbacker 4001 bass. Bullshit Rickenbacker bridge replaced with Allparts bridge. Better for palm muting. (((Rick-O-Sound)))
Japanese made from the 70's. Bound neck makes it fancy. Catchy model name, right? I mean, c'mon guys. You could do better than that!!!
Univox copy of a Mosrite. Kurt Cobain made these popular and now they fetch real money. I got this one for free from a friend in college who wanted to smash it on stage. Thank goodness I saved it. This guitar rules!
Non-original body is made of oak. Great sound. As used in the Fucking Champs.
Short scale bass with toothpick thin neck. Equipped with flatwound strings. This bass is very playable and sounds great unplugged as well as as plugged in. Does the 'tic-tac' bass sound perfectly.
KEYBOARDS/ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENTS
Beautiful sounding analog synth featuring bass, brass, piano, clavinet, cello and violin sounds. The string sounds are really where this keyboard shines. Very recognizable. Sounds comparable to the Arp/Solina String Ensemble. The brass sound has a great sounding filter and the bass sound is HUGE!
Beautiful tonewheel organ with 1/4" output and foot pedals. Home console version of the B-3 but without the beat-box.
This B3/Leslie combo belonged to Gregg Allman. It was his backup touring rig. Needless to say, it’s been carefully maintained and sounds fantastic. Loud enough to put the fear of God in you!
Rush 'Moving Pictures' and Van Halen '1984'. This is the 4 voice version. Gnarly sound.
Beautiful sounding and playing Rhodes 88-key electric piano with matching stereo speaker cabinet. Dynakit ST-70 stereo tube power amp drives stereo cabinet. Stereo vibrato is to die for.
Analog drum brain. Listen to the kick drum on 'Jump' by Van Halen and you'll hear the Simmons kick loud and clear, especially in the pre-chorus and chorus. Sounds akin to an 80's Buick station wagon door closing.
Please let us know if you plan to use the piano on your session so we can arrange to have it tuned before you arrive.
DRUMS/CYMBALS
6-ply Gretsch-formula maple/gum shells. 24” kick, 16” floor, 13” rack. Beautiful sound.
1980 Ludwig Stainless Steel drum kit featuring 24” kick, 18”, 14” and 13” toms. BOOM!
1962 vintage Slingerland kit in Champagne sparkle finish. Standard sizes: 22" kick, 13" rack tom, 16" floor, matching 5" deep wood snare not pictured. Records very well.
Ludwig Black Beauty 14”x6.5” Black nickel over brass. 2000's. Seamless beaded shell. Classic.
6.5"x14" Hand-made seamless cast bell bronze snare. Explosive crack with an abundance of low end. Game changer. 3mm thick and 23lbs!!
Acrylic 18"x16" and 14"x10" toms. 90's Austin, Texas. Surprisingly warm, yet thunderous. Good enough for Billy Cobham!
Single head, no shell, tunable by rotating the rim. Very cutting if not hilarious sound.
